We are a large home in one of Erie's best locations, sitting on the easternmost and highest elevated street in the neighborhood. Not only does this location give us killer views, but we also are backing directly to the 14th green at Colorado National Golf Course. Now for the fire: this one is more manageable than it sounds. It appears to have started outside on the grill, which is why the structural and roof components fared far better than a typical interior fire. Truss and structural damage appear minimal. The walkout basement was largely untouched. Damage is concentrated on the two upper levels - things are charred, but the bones look intact. Some ceiling holes are present, to our knowledge, they were made intentionally by the fire department during suppression. They did a good job saving this house as best they could. HVAC and both furnaces appear salvageable. This is still a serious rehab, but you are not rebuilding from the ground up. Photos linked below - see for yourself.
